Update
Well FSLR certainly did ’something’ out of that pattern! I did not specify past ’something’ happening because I didn’t trust that it would have a downside breakout like the bigger pattern. I have seen these “reverse polarity fractals” before (see the last FSLR chart). The top and bottom will be marked by fractals, usually triangles or diametrics. Most of the time the best thing to do is go with the breakout and wait for a pullback. QQQQ is still biding its time, trying to beat everybody up.

QQQQ
Is short interest high enough to warrant a covering frenzy in this vein? We should know soon enough.

Today’s action
Too much pessimism for NOK to work. A fractal will play out explosively when coupled with the right market environment. Bottoming patterns may play out throughout a sell off, but when the real bottoming pattern forms sentiment is backing it up. Patience is required. The longer term QQQQ fractal bottom posted a few days ago is holding up for at least more counter trend rally. The QQQQ fractal was a bottoming fractal with extreme pessimism into the lows. That is of course still no gaurantee that it will work, don’t believe anyone who says they have 100% accuracy. Being wrong is just a part of this game sometimes.

Thoughts
No turn here in OXY soon and the pattern gets fudged. AAII was at 58% bears last week, shorts are probably getting too comfortable.
